After an indulgence-filled December of too much mulled wine and regular wine, visit a different kind of bar and give #JuiceJanuary a go. Far better than your average OJ sourced at the local corner shop, we vote for the full, fresh cold-press experience. It’s time to hit the city juice bars.

1. Bike & Beverage, Beverage & Bike

Cycling fanatics unite at this shop to pick up cool kits from uber-hipster bike brands and to drink juice, smoothies or boosters (the healthy man’s version of a shot). Order the Liver Lover or Einstein with some homemade, gluten-free banana bread on the side.  There’s even a cyclist focused yoga class twice a month (yup, it’s a thing) which includes a detox drink as part of the package.

2.    Live the Juice Life

The cold-press, raw and unpasteurised juice made for busy people. The idea was originally bottled by Georgie and Ed, who were in need of a health boost for early mornings in the office and after late nights (in the pub, presumably). Pop into one of three EC locations; Spitalfields, Broadgate or St Paul’s.

3.    Health Kick with a Peruvian twist

Not technically a juice bar, but we’re not nit-picking when the beverages are this good, and the food even better. Feel the vitamins flow in your veins as you delight in British / Peruvian munch and a superfood smoothie or pressed juice. Try Kappa Tea with tofu and matcha to stay on trend or just savour the sweetness of melon and pear in the Ekeko juice.
