The One City Team love sharing the stories of the creatives who make up our dynamic City. Whether they serve up tasty street food, run cool work spaces or capture London at its best. Our next interview is with Photographer and Instagrammer extraordinaire, Laku Davies.
Tell us about your job.
I'm a London based photographer. I enjoy taking pictures of the city. I also enjoy capturing images of people.
What’s your daily routine like?
No two days are ever the same, but my day usually consists of exploring the city and finding unique spots to photograph or attending events and exhibitions around London.
What artists are you listening to at the moment?
My playlist is as eclectic as it gets, but I'm currently feeling Emeli Sandé's new vibe.
Why do you like working in the City?
London is a vibrant city, full of surprising and exciting contradictions in its architecture. The mix of cultures also adds to the brilliance of London, this keeps what we know as the spirit of London alive!
What is your favourite place to visit in the Square Mile?
Ooh, that's a tuffie! I like visiting the Sky Garden in the summer as you get to experience the feeling of being with nature and also get to view London from great heights. The Gherkin (30 St Mary's Axe) is also a brilliant location to view London from the top.
